This will be a wonderful opportunity for everyone to visit Highfield Country Estate Retirement Village.
Our open day last year in February 2014 was a wonderful opportunity for visitors to view the progress of Highfield. In one year there have been many changes. We welcome visitors to come and see what we have been up to.
We have begun construction of our new community centre aptly named Highfield Lodge. Stage 5 is under development with new residents at Villas 96, 97, 98, 101, 102, 103 & 104. These new residents moved into their homes before Christmas. Villas 53 to 63 are currently under construction. A concrete pathway has been recently laid beside the ponds. It connects to the main road which has delighted residents who enjoy walking around the village and beyond. There is a hive of activity at the new hospital site preparing the ground work for development.
In early spring an avid group of resident gardeners planted a community vegetable garden. During the summer we have enjoyed eating and purchasing vegetables at extremely reasonable prices such vegetables as beans, cucumbers, tomatoes and sweet corn. Many thanks to residents for their hard work!
We welcome you to join us at our open day from 11am to 3pm on Saturday March 28th 2015. Our friendly Highfield Team look forward to hosting you throughout the day. Come and enjoy a wander through our beautifully landscaped gardens and show homes, and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in our clubrooms.
See you at Highfield!
I first came to look at the village with a friend about six years ago. It was in its early development stage. Being a builder, I looked at the plans and was suitable impressed and realised that moving to Highfield Country Estate would be ideal for my wife and myself. The next step was to go home and talk my wife and family into it. Shona finally relented and we put a deposit down thinking it was going to be years before we moved in. About two years later we were living here.— Residents: David & Shona Hollinshead
