It has been great to see the summer weather settle into the beautiful weather, albeit very hot, days allowing everyone to get out and about.

As I look back through the past months Highfield has been a hive of activity, we have seen performances from our talented thespians, High Jinx, Highfield Singers and the Ukulele Guitar Group. The Highfield staff showed their appreciation by surprising the residents with their "dancing skills", during the thank you morning tea held in December.

Waikato has some stunning walking tracks which showcases the beautiful scenery. The Highfield Thursday walking group have completed some interesting and varied walks including Bridal Veil Falls in Raglan, see the attached photo. 

The coffee trips on a Tuesday are another highlight, with the Highfield vans driving our residents within an hour of the village to some of the best cafes in the Waikato, a wonderful weekly event that sees residents coming together and enjoying a fabulous social morning out.
