The month of June signals the start of our NZ winter and celebrates one of the biggest national events, the Fieldays held at Mystery Creek in Hamilton.

The annual Highfield pool tournament is something to behold with the first round of games will be starting in June for our men’s and ladies’ singles and the mixed pairs. The pool tables have already seen lots of activity and practice with the honing of skills and conquering the art of the angle. We are all looking forward to another year of great camaraderie, competition and participation with a bit of banter thrown into the mix. Time for everyone to come together and enjoy this annual time honored event.

June also sees the village being treated to John’s “World Famous” delicious, mulled wine. This is an absolute treat for the taste buds and a wonderful way to ward off winter’s chill.

A special mention must be given to the incredible celebration of the Mother’s Day Morning Tea that was held in the lodge, hosted and organised by the very talented social committee. It was such a special event and enjoyed by everyone.
