Highfield Highlights July 2025
The Highfield Knitting group have been crafting some beautiful warm and colourful slippers and beanies for the children in the new entrant class at Puahue School. The letters of thanks that we received from the students were delightful and so appreciated. The knitting group have also given the beautifully handcrafted items to other Te Awamutu District Schools, where they have been so well received. Thank you for expertise and hours spent knitting such fantastic warm gifts.
There is a lot of action happening on the Highfield pool tables, with matches being played at a frantic rate. The spectator interest is certainly building, with residents and staff looking on and lending support to those who are participating in the annual Highfield pool tournament. The grand final is always a nail biter with everyone sitting on the edge of their seat eagerly awaiting the next shot. At the conclusion of the final, everyone attending will be treated to a complimentary burger from the social committee to celebrate the tournament. A big thank you to all those who have helped make the tournament such a special event.
The colder weather is certainly upon us with crisp foggy Waikato mornings, that transition into some spectacular clear winter days. Stay warm, dry and take care when travelling on the roads during the inclement winter weather.
Enjoy the month of July!
